For the 24th year in a row, the Poetry Africa festival in Durban sets the stage for poetry from South Africa and around the world. It promises to be an enriching experience with the sound of poets performing live, their passionate, inspirational perspective on life and current events and the power and beauty of the spoken word. An innovation this year is that due to the COVID-19 the entire festival programme will be presented online.

I was recently invited to attend the latest exhibition of Mark Hilltout called A Celebration of Corrugated Iron. The exhibition will be available for public viewing from the 13th to 16th February 2020.
Beloved beauty brand, Pond's, has recently released their affordable micellar water in a travel-sized 100ml bottle. I was sent a tester and took it everywhere I went during my holiday!
Human behaviour is complex and intriguing, and the social conventions around it more so. Even if you're not Christian, you're likely to have encountered the concept of the seven deadly sins in the cultural zeitgeist. The sins are traits of man that are deemed terrible vices in Christian belief. A band of directors, playwrights and producers have taken on the concept and produced individual plays relating to each sin. I felt that posts about the LGBTQ+ community would be best expressed by a member of the community itself since I only consider myself an ally. I hope you enjoy!
Fashion activism is when fashion and social or political beliefs merge to create support for or protest against a movement. I've seen quite a few examples of fashion activism in recent years and decided to share the most interesting or stand-out looks in modern times.
This past week was insanely busy for me and it's only going to get busier and more exciting from here on out but, I love it! Christmas bells are faintly ringing, Mariah Carey's infamous holiday music is on full blast and it's time for family reunions. A great way to spend some family time is by checking out Canal Walk's Space Station running from 7 December 2017 to 4 January 2018.
