FILM & Photography
Yesterday in the seaside community of La Jolla, the biggest fashion film festival in the world finished off its 2017 events.
Described as “the Cannes of the fashion film world”, the La Jolla Fashion Film Festival welcomes fashion filmmakers and creative professionals in a viewing of the best fashion films in the world. The festival takes place annually within San Diego, California over three days. The LJFFF was founded in North America and is the first and largest international fashion film festival.
The festival consists of panel discussions, seminars, an award ceremony, after parties and of course film screenings. The films showcase the hottest trends in the best fashion houses and season visions of top designers and stylists. The fashion world is looked at through the lens of chosen filmmakers whose work is meant to represent the “some of the most brilliant and creative directors.”
2017 marks the fifth year of the La Jolla Fashion Film Festival and the fourth year of its International Fashion Film Awards. The awards were started by LJFFF to support their mission statement: “Empower, support and recognise the individual creative professionals who make up the fashion film community worldwide.”
The festival started on Thursday, 20 July and ended yesterday. The festival hoped to promote and expand the creative careers of well-deserving directors.
